Our Termly Value Discussion –  Teamwork

• Listening to each other and using oracy rules to take turns
• Work together in lessons to complete a challenge
• Don't talk at the same time as others (oracy rules)

• Take turns to try a challenge
• Plan together and use everyone's ideas - use metacognition

• Teamwork can help build friendships that you might not have known about before
• Teamwork is when you work together and you should always respect each other's ideas and values
•  Teamwork is when you work together to achieve a shared goal
• I know some of my friends are good team mates because they are kind and supportive and help me when I'm stuck
• Teamwork is using metacognition to work together and use our differences to an advantage
•  Working together helps because if you are stuck and you have already persevered, your teammate can help you
• Sometimes teamwork can take longer than if you just worked individually but sometimes the end result is different
•  Teamwork is where people work together and persevere, if you have two ideas you can combine them and improve them and use metacognition to solve a problem

A variety of activities, games, websites and ideas for your child to have a go at, in order to enrich and extend their learning. Do note that some activities may need adult support.
