House Team Captains
How do we become a House Captain?
At school we are involved in exploring aspects of British values; we are given the opportunity to develop an understanding of democracy by having a voting system for us to fairly chose our new House Captains and Vice Captains.
During the summer term of Year 5 our teachers ask who would like to be a House captain or vice house captain for our House Teams in the following year.
We then take time to put a presentation together that we present to all of the Key Stage 2 children and then they all vote democratically as to who should represent their house team.
In the presentation we talk about how we can act as role models, support others and are confident to take leaderships roles. These skills will really help us in the future.
