House Points

We all encourage positive behaviours at school, including using good manners, being kind, and developing good learning behaviours. To help this, a system we use is awarding house points to children. These are mainly given by all adults, but we can also give them too. If we see someone doing something that is particularly kind or caring we could given them a sticker – this is worth two house points.

Every Thursday we go around the whole school and count up all the house points we give the totals from each class to the office and then share the house team totals during our celebration assembly on Friday. The following week, the winning team then gets an extra day using the trim trails during play times. Lots of teachers also let the winning team have other privileges, like choosing the Golden Time activity or going first out to play.
