School Day


8.40:   Classroom doors open, children allowed into school to complete Early Morning Tasks. 

          KS1 (F.S. to Year 2) parents are invited into the classroom to complete Early Morning Tasks with               their children.      

          KS2 (Year 3 – Year 6) children are expected to come to class and settle to Early Morning Tasks                 independently.         

8.53:  School bells rings and KS1 parents to say goodbye and leave the premises promptly.

8.55:  Registration complete; lessons begin. Children arriving at school after 8.55 need to do so via the              main school office where they will be recorded as ‘late’.                 

10.15: KS1: 20 minute morning break 

10.40: KS2: 20 minute morning break

11.45: FS Lunch break

12.00: KS1 Lunch break

12.30: KS2 Lunch break

3.20:   End of School Day


Absences: On the morning of your child's absence please leave a message on the school's absence recording line (01793 874582 Option 1) with your child's name, class and reason for absence, or inform the school office. 


If your child has had diarrhoea and/or vomiting we ask that they are kept away from school for 48 hours from the last bout of diarrhoea or vomiting, in order to minimise the risk of spreading germs.


Before/After School Club:  Brook Field holds an every-day after school club in school operated by The Big A Club.   Contact The Big A Club directly for more information.

After school activities: Teacher-led after school clubs are scheduled on a termly basis.  All school run clubs will have a register, and parents will be contacted if a pupil is not at the club. Clubs run by external providers such as Football, French, Tennis are not co-ordinated or supervised by the school.
