Queen Victoria was an extremely famous figure during the Victorian era. She brought many changes into schools, some of which are still featured in schools today.
For each statement, decide whether or not you think it was a fair punishment for a Victorian child:
1) If you make a mistake, you wear a dunce hat and sit in the corner of the classroom for the rest of the day.
2) If you fiddle at the table, you must wear a finger trap behind your back until the end of the lesson.
3) If you slouch, you must wear a backboard until you can sit up straight without one.
4) Misbehaving and showing any signs of disrespect in the classroom means that you must be hit with the cane with no exceptions.
