Please continue to practice counting to 20, ordering these and writing them. Can your child count on from a different number each time?

Complete number bonds to 10 activity either on worksheet below or you could do this on paper, whiteboard or practically using items.
Rockets ----- Children Count down from 10 to 0 and then Count down from 20 to 0
Subtracting - draw ‘magic beans’ and then write numeral and take away (Rub Out) from original group. e.g. have 5 beans drawn. Cross out/rub out two. How many are left? Write the number sentence to show 5-2=3
Review names of 3D shapes. - Sphere, cones, cube, cuboid and cylinder. Can your child find some of these shapes around the home?
Addition and subtraction activity. Encourage children to think – which number comes before?
Revise/ Re-visit coin recognition. Ask look at and feel the coin and share what coin it is.
What does it feel like? What colour metal is it?
Talk about the value of coins with children. Ask them if they needed to buy something that cost 2p which coins could they use? Repeat this with different amounts. Can they find more than one way to buy an item with different coins e.g. a 5p teddy they could do 2p,2p and 1p or they could use a 5p or 1p,1p,1p and 2p.
The activity of caterpillar sequencing requires them to think carefully about which number come next when ordering them from smallest to biggest?
